When Game of Thrones first started, the idea that a book was being adapted as a TV show rather than a movie meant greater accuracy to the source material, obviously because of fewer time constraints. In the beginning, the show was really one of the truest adaptations I’d ever seen.
Now that the series has almost caught up with the books, though, it’s started taking greater and greater liberties with the source material, and it’s worked out better than I’d expected. Now, book readers are almost just as in the dark as everyone else!
